I'm so glad I drove to the train station by myself this morning - how it happened, who knows - but there is a cantilever cut between Harbor and Vermont on the Green Line today - no train service past Wilmington. If I'd jumped on the train, no telling when I would have gotten to work.

So I tried surface streets. Rosecrans rocks. My hour on the 105 was cut to 20 minutes. Even with red lights.

I also got a lemon scone with my latte this morning - it was also good.

I get to wash the car at lunch today - hope the dirt isn't the only thing holding it together.

And I am going to Fry's to get another keyboard. Fergit trying to find one in the wreckage. Ain't worth it. Nyah.

All that, and lunch too. Oh yeah, tokens. Need tokens.

Work quiet enough that I can do all of it on lunch today.

Tons of sparrows outside right now. Good weather, lots of food from Siva and a bird bath he just installed. That, and we just finished another reproductive cycle again.

Feeling better. Poor Jim - he really does make me laugh some times. But the dog is no longer hairy - just fuzzy. He took at least 3" off all over. I think I might have to take her in to get it all evened up and some of the long bits around her face trimmed to match.

Note to self: children likely to repeat this event. Keep clippers out of reach unless I want cat to have mowhawk. *nods*

I keep thinking of [livejournal.com profile] varna and her laptop - I sent her to IBM EZ Serv (I also have a StinkPad, and they've never steered me wrong), but I can't help smiling when I think that her son thought it was thirsty. Awww.

Awww, shit.

Listening to a radio station on the way in to work this morning that got a healthy injection of good in the mornings, but they're totally weak at night on the way home. And the ads suck. Oh, well.

But I think an AMV using John Mellencamps' "Authority Song" using Ruroni Kenshin has promise. Ah, self-indulgence.

I also think bunny-hopping to CCR's "Proud Mary" is fun. Done it.

I need food.

There's three of them, so here you go:

This one for [livejournal.com profile] varna. Another tale of a laptop gone wet.

I'm wearing one of their shirts today.

Make soap, not war.
