And Jim is working tonight. This morning, we went out and put barbeque grills together. We had gotten the one Thanksgiving - and the big box that came from Amazon turned out to be a Weber Kettle - nice!

I have no motivation to be domestic. I want to get back to work, and waiting is murder. Workaholic I may be, but it has kept me fed for too many years to give it up yet.

Winamp continues to amaze me - but I have to remember to turn it on when I sit down here to work. I'm waaay out of the habit of listening to music when I'm doing anything else.

Past that, nothing. Nothing at all.

There is nothing like the stuffed you get from having ramen for dinner at Marukai -

Then, stupid that I was, I had to go try the new crepe place that took the spot Java Dog'd had.

Nothing to do today but eat. There are 9 to 10 kinds of wrong with that - and I am so done with the spiced breads and so forth. I want my ohagi on New Years - the rest is optional.

Time to go finish the house stuff.

I want Jim back home. I feel robbed.

It's nice to know my memory is not playing me false.

The French argue that they have developed one of the world's best security shields, having seen terror close up many times. A chain of bombings paralyzed Paris in 1986 and 1995; more recently the al Qaeda network has targeted French citizens abroad. (Registration required to click through - nothing major - do it.)

I was flying home from Switzerland in 1986 - I remember. Remember? France closed their airspace when they weren't happy with the security everyone else was providing them. They pissed off a lot of people then - for being too hard on terrorism.

Only goes to show how short an attention span the media actually has. Your neighborhood done a poison gas drill lately?

Once more, with feeling. The French are strange. They are often annoying. That's all.

In other news, the housework is done. Go me.
