Well, it was a blackout after all.
People who update and read LJ on dialup with AOL have my respect. But also, they likely have little time to do much else. Or they have learned to do many things inbetween page loads.
I haven't seen LJ. I didn't even get a chance to do a voice post - I've have spent the last week waking at 6:30 AM to throw on clothes, gulp down my vitamins and go to work caring for Mom, and not stopping until I fell down at 10:00 PM or so, only to jump up again and begin all over the next day.
Good news? She's much, much improved. But I am very, very tired.
And Sunday, the Escort blew a head gasket going back to the house with Jim - on the way home today, we went by the Nissan dealer and finalized the purchase of two Nissan Sentras - 2005, 1.8S Special Editions with a lot of bells and whistles. How does "Red Alert" Red with Charcoal pinstripes sound? That one's mine - Jim's is Silver.
Tomorrow, I begin the process of donating the Escort and the Ranger to the Red Cross. Don't bother telling me how much more of a deduction I could have taken if I had done it before January 1st. I didn't have a car with a blown head gasket January 1st. I didn't have my financing in to buy new cars before January 1st. Bite me.
I am going to go soak in a hot tub with some LUSH-y goodness and a glass of something warm with a high alcohol content. Tomorrow, I am on vacation. I have done nothing but housework for a week - I need a break!
Pictures tomorrow. Tonight, I fwump.
I am so very glad to be home. You have no idea.
