Okay, one of them has gotten on top of a horizontal surface and knocked something off. Since this is coming from the kitchen, the bets are on the Kitten or the Mamma.

Mamma. Okay. That sounded like money, which means you had to be someplace You Weren't Supposed To Be...and...*huh*?

It's a little metal tag. Like oh, 5 mm long? It says "Dragonball Z" on it. *Wah-ru?* Where the eff did this come from, and will it reproduce asexually in the closet?

Eh. The cat found it. If it was edible, it's history now.

Got the video card installed, configured and working like I know what I'm doing. Sims2, with all the expansion packs loaded plays lickety-split and is ready for Jim to take it for a spin.

While I'm checking things out, I hear the dulcet tones of a Final Fantasy game coming from the living room. Jim has unearthed the copy of Final Fantasy IX and has begun playing it. After three "go to bed" calls, he finally does - near midnight. With a 6:30 AM wake up call.

Uh, Sims2? Dude? It works now....

MSN (always a reputable source for stuff, yah right) noted another take on the weight-reduction thingie. Actually, more of a good approach to a maintenance diet - French Women Don't Get Fat.

The key? Portion control. Rabid, obsessive (to any American mind), portion control. Go figure.

Anytime I went to Switzerland, I lost five pounds - over two weeks. It was a guarantee. And I ate like a little piggy - all the butter, chocolate, sausage I could stand. Potatoes fried in butter. Lost weight. Of course, I was probably getting more exercise, but I didn't eat as much - the only large meal was lunch. Bread and butter with coffee for breakfast. A little something for dinner.

Portion control.
