Not dressed up. Too good a chance of having to meet with higher-ups today, and I didn't think coming off like a weekend tart was going to be a good idea.
So I'm dressed in blue jeans and a flannel shirt. Should have worn my "This Is My Costume" button. But, I have to go home at lunch, so it's still a posibility.
I should make more of an effort to post weekend stuff as it happens - like, on the weekend day it happened - but once I think about it, I usually have a massive case of Civ III in my way - that, and I don't want to stop my Sims2 game on the Mac either. So it gets to be midnight, and nada.
SO motivated.
Went out to IKEA on Saturday - and discovered a huge anniversary sale going on. IKEA has been in the United States 20 years now. Whadya know. 15% off everything - and there was much rejoicing. Uh. I told you this neighborhood was heavily Pacific Islander, right? Samoan, Hawaiian, Filipino, etc?
There was an anniversary celebration going on outside IKEA - this very, VERY European (Swedish, to boot) company - polynesian dancers in coconut bras, fire dancers (thought of
varna immediately) and all of it under sunny skies....coming into November. Gotta love California in the wintertime.
I bought Christmas cards. It was surreal.
Sunday, I plowed through boxes of books we've had in storage now for two years - and came up with two more boxes of paperbacks I can give away tonight at Trick or Treat. I've also got the candy ready - I just need to plug in the ghost, and we're ready to go. I might sweep the patio off.
If you want some Halloween giggles? There are some new 'played-by' videos up on the Sims2 website - this one is for the 'zombies vs. vamps' from the new Nightlife expansion pack. It requires Quicktime, and this is the high res verion -
This morning, there is more sugar in my office than is humane. Oh, and I'm female. The combination is going to be interesting, to say the least.
