My earliest memories of using LJ involve Baycon. (

bellacrow, that was the year Peri took it on the lam, remember?) I found

cadhla discussing Nair (I'm still smirking, years later - I was also so trusting of modern chemistry once) - and so on.

My FL this morning is loaded with reports. I remember the last time I tried to do a Baycon, too. We managed to meet up with a number of friends, but never really went on the con floor. Didn't need to.

And without all the expenses, effort and callamity? This is okay for me this year. No, I'm not eating my heart out - it's kind of like sitting at a table sampling snacks with pals.

But now? Now we have to get ready to do our first meeting with our social worker for the home study. I'm hoping to have much company later tonight - yay friends. Friends rock.
