kyburgA US man arrested in Thailand is being held in connection with the murder of American child beauty queen JonBenet Ramsey, US officials say.
The man was first arrested on unrelated sex charges, officials said.
A Denver TV station says he confessed to details of the killing of JonBenet that were never made known to the public and will now return to the US.
The six-year-old was found strangled in the basement of her family home in 1996 in a case that sparked a media furore.
CBS has reported that the suspect is a 41-year-old second-grade schoolteacher.
