BELLFLOWER, Calif. (AP) — A woman gave birth to eight babies in Southern California on Monday, the world's second live-born set of octuplets.
The mother, who was not identified, gave birth to six boys and two girls weighing between 1 pound, 8 ounces and 3 pounds, 4 ounces, doctors at Kaiser Permanante Bellflower Medical Center told The Associated Press.
Uh, hospital Jim works at. He's already been told the employee parking has been pre-empted by the media and getting to work is going to be ... interesting ... for a while.
Past that, he expects a lot of portables up in the NICU and exercising his mad mad baby skillz yo.
And he's delighted. Yup, this was anticipated...for a long time now.
BTW - get a good look if you see the hospital in reports. That's the OLD hospital, and it's going to be out of commission by summer - wave good bye to it.
