A 200-foot-tall giant sequoia tree fell along Sequoia National Park's main road, crushing this vehicle parked in a turnout alongside the road Sunday, Aug. 17, 2003, in Sequoia National Park, Calif. The tree, believed to be approximately 1,000 years old, fell Sunday at about 5:15 p.m. along the Generals Highway, several miles east of the Giant Forest Museum, said park spokeswoman Alexandra Picavet. I like to think that the forest is taking out their hostilities for Bush's environmental policies... that support cutting down trees to prevent forest fires and also supports removing efficiency laws that would have forced SUVs to not be the gas-sucking monsters they are!

Mother Nature's revenge. The sequoias must have heard about Bush's plan to allow logging in the Sequoia National Monument and sent a kamikaze message.

Makes me think of the final battle in "LOTR: The Two Towers" - Don't mess with the trees.
