kyburgOkay, here we go again.
Nobody else got the secondary infection - and when I need both the inhaler AND the cough syrup with codeine in it to stop coughing long enough to sleep, and then have to clear my sinuses of the same amount of goo four mornings running....
Yup, back to the doctor for antibiotics I go.
Someone put a mask on my icon, please.
Kid is back to daycare this morning - I'm sure he missed it. They are also going to start doing more water play (it's hot enough, boy howdy) so he had swim trunks and closed toe plastic shoes with beach towel added to his cubby this week.
I'd consider swimming lessons except I'm too sick. They do them on Sunday mornings. *facesmacks* Another reason for the copay tonight. Oh, and no swimsuit. Lost the weight and haven't gotten around to buying a new one. Yeah, really.
Something I had not expected to crop up - I can come up with a bunch of things *I* want to do with the kid, but not many of them seem to be panning out with regard to what he does innately.
We spent a lot of time yesterday just hanging out watching movies, with him getting easily distracted...which kinda concerns me. It's almost like I'm entertaining him...not parenting. And I surely can't do anything without him attached to my hip. Hence, my 'now what do I do?' reaction about 3:30 PM on Sunday afternoons. I have an hour and a half of a kid who wants - something to do with me - and I'm fresh out. And tired out. Oh, that's right - I'm sick. Nevermind. (I keep forgetting. This is not normal. I'm not always going to be sick. Except I have been since he got here. Right. What would I know.)
AX is this weekend - I have GOT to get better by then, or all the work (and $$$) I'm putting into doing it is going to feel pretty damn stupid by the end. To the good, we have a fantastic backup sitter onboard now, though.
LOCALS - my daycare is doing a car wash fundraiser. Will be tapping everyone - it lets them keep doing great stuff without raising my tuition costs, and it's not selling candles or wrapping paper...let alone the scary frozen cookie dough/cheesecakes. Let's face it - who doesn't need a car wash?
Don't remember when it is. Have stuff in car. Will post later.

silverkun nearby for a week - THAT was wonderful. Got the backyard equipment assembled on Sunday morning with his help...and that was all good too.
Will start tapping committee members to be onhand in August for birthday party.
Considering puppy party. But first - gotta get through today, doctor tonight and hopefully better by Wednesday.
(Who suggested 'Perdido Street Station' to me? Found it unread on the shelf over the weekend and it's been AWESOME so far.)
