I think I know what it is -

We enjoy each other's company a lot. But geography gets in the way - so getting together is a bitch. When we do get together, we try to make up for it - and things get intense.

I overbook.
Jim gets overexcited and LOUD. Somebody, find this boy a mike!
Rey plays games and wants to play MORE games.
Carolyn gets lost in the shuffle, and the pity is - she's right.

Saturday night/Sunday morn, 1:00 AM, she turns to me and wonders why we have to get up in a few hours to make a breakfast date - and how it all came together that this weekend had turned into a deathmarch, even though it was something we all wanted to do.

When you're too tired for The Only Place in Town, it's time to stop and regroup.

We did do very well, however.

The two of them managed to catch up with Mike and visit for a good long time Friday. We got to TTK for dinner, even if Harry Potter got dropped. Dinner was at nine-ish. We slept after midnight.

We stayed in jammies a good long time as well Saturday morning, entertained 6 Hartmans for two hours (never SAT DOWN ONCE) then went to Fry's for motherboard screws.

Honey, nobody goes to Fry's for screws. Gimme a break.

I came out of there with the Arjuna DVD, the Newtype vol 1, ish 1, a Harry Potter game for the Game Boy and two flavors of Mentos. Dinner was at the really good D'Antonio's in Diamond Bar Sis introduced me to. Mmmmm. GOOD Itallian food.

Then a mad dash to Riverside. A very closed Dragon Marsh. An adventure through a Fast Food Chinese joint for a biffy stop. And a loooong recording session packed like lil' sardines (wish they were little...gah, some of those folks were hooge) in a space fabricated in the back of equally small (but mighty) Dragon Marsh.

We get home. We look at each other. I jettison any plans to push these people any further. I can deathmarch with the best of them. I did it for five years.

I forget how much fun it isn't, if you aren't the one driving the bus.

Gomen to you both - I do tend to run the show. Experience has told me that if I don't run the show, the show runs me and the results have not been pretty.

Carolyn ended up with a migraine and exhaustion Saturday night.

Killie and Char will get my undivided attention at a data TBA. Chocolate will definitely be involved.

Four groups saw the house today - one shown by my own agent, who called me later. Maybe we'll get an offer...maybe we won't. Nice guy. We'll see.

Jim is happily playing with his Game Boy. I have a game of Zombies to teach myself to play. And some source books for other tabletop RPGs...maybe I can get Killie and Char to come play - just us girls.

I want a copy of PuzzleFighterII for my Playstation now. Bugger.

Stuff bought this weekend and wasted - 6 Fandango tickets for Harry Potter in Orange. Never got into Orange County. 1 large Hawaiian pizza and Chicken Fingers.

There is much Pepsi in the fridge and much space between my ears - hungry, I suspect.

If there isn't anything else I need to do, can I go fall down now? Thanks.
