This is the high school newspaper staff - check out the hair! If you can't tell which one is me, it's the chick with the triangle to the right of center. Ghad, I could have cut bread with that chin - scrawny! 1978.


Proof that nothing is sacred. This is unclejimbo's photo from his high school yearbook. Isn't he cute?

My mother has an ohhh... probably 12x15 photo of me as a baby taking a bath butt-naked in a metal wash-bin. Right in the middle of the hall where EVERYONE who comes into the house can see it. I would do anything to get that bloody photo down and into the nearest bonfire... gaaaah.

OMG! In 1969 you looked like a female version of my younger son! Shock of recognition is a little surprising.

I don't have any scary ones because they've been long destroyed, but here's me turning 3 in the icon. Or was it 4? Brown was in that year.

The baby pic icon is what I'm looking at. It is extremely cute.

I have no embarassing childhood pics: our family photo album is somewhere in Italy (thanks to my dad and his mad packing skills), and no one has been back to retrieve it. A few photos of my brother and I that mom did manage to bring to the US were eventually given away to my brother's (now a good friend after becoming an ex) girlfriend.

Then as soon as I hit high school I miraculously managed to get away from cameras unless forced to (which was not a good thing: someday I will scour my old room at my parents' for yearbook pics, and prove it). I think only therapy will convince me I don't photograph horribly.

I could always count half of my wedding pics as less than flattering, so it all works out in the end. =P

oh, for a scanner. My baby-pictures are tolerable (although the one of a one-year-old me with a really big hand drill is really funny), but the teen years are just horrendous.

What shocks people is the early-teen Africa pictures, in which I am a Coppertone-tan scrawny sylph with past-shoulders straight blonde hair. Completely unrecognizable. (I'm currently so pale as to be bluish, and my hair hasn't been truly blonde, naturally or otherwise, since.)
