Okay - here we go!
Dec. 31st, 2003 10:40 pmIt's time for Misery Loves Company! Brought to you by "Why the EFF am I up this late?!"
You wonder why nobody can embarass me. Wonder no longer. Here's the proof. They started out young.

This me - at my 9th birthday party in 1969. Check out the crazy glasses. No, wire-rims were not in that year.

This is the high school newspaper staff - check out the hair! If you can't tell which one is me, it's the chick with the triangle to the right of center. Ghad, I could have cut bread with that chin - scrawny! 1978.

Proof that nothing is sacred. This is
unclejimbo's photo from his high school yearbook. Isn't he cute?
I've also made additional icons out of a few other shots - watch out for me from 1975, when I looked like John Denver.
Okay. Now's it your turn. Add a comment...add a photo. Scare me.

Date: 2004-01-01 04:44 am (UTC)I don't have any scary ones because they've been long destroyed, but here's me turning 3 in the icon. Or was it 4? Brown was in that year.
Wow
Date: 2004-01-01 07:11 am (UTC)I have no embarassing childhood pics: our family photo album is somewhere in Italy (thanks to my dad and his mad packing skills), and no one has been back to retrieve it. A few photos of my brother and I that mom did manage to bring to the US were eventually given away to my brother's (now a good friend after becoming an ex) girlfriend.
Then as soon as I hit high school I miraculously managed to get away from cameras unless forced to (which was not a good thing: someday I will scour my old room at my parents' for yearbook pics, and prove it). I think only therapy will convince me I don't photograph horribly.
I could always count half of my wedding pics as less than flattering, so it all works out in the end. =P

Date: 2004-01-01 04:33 pm (UTC)What shocks people is the early-teen Africa pictures, in which I am a Coppertone-tan scrawny sylph with past-shoulders straight blonde hair. Completely unrecognizable. (I'm currently so pale as to be bluish, and my hair hasn't been truly blonde, naturally or otherwise, since.)
