The rest of the day was one big irritation. It began with moving the station wagon (the "good" car) on the street so I could get the truck (the POS) out to go to work.
It rrRRrred, it chugged and it belched blue smoke. This is Not Good. This is a car, not the dragon I splutted last night on NN -
So I have to remember to call home when Jim has had enough sleep to tell him to take it into the shop. I call the shop on the way to work to make sure they have time. Oh, say, 8:30 AM?
When does I get to the shop? Oh, sometime around 3:00 PM.
And when I get home? Have you heard from the shop, Jim dear?
I've already Pricelined a car for the next three days. He can't drive the POS.
No, he hasn't heard a thing.
Could have thrown the phone at him.
When did we get the rental car picked up and back home? Oh, about an hour ago.
While we're out, I get a voicemail from a co-worker. "You called me!"
Did not. I checked. Grrr.
The new luggage arrived, though. Oh my. You could hide small children in them. And they're Samsonite, so they have all the nifty nooks and crannies known to man. Zippers and straps and oh my...so much room, so many places to put things.
On wheels that don't even whisper as you pull them across the floor.
Oh, and I checked on his passport and found out it should have been here last week. And I called the post office and documented it. Mine is still in process and should be mailed out by the end of this week.
I do details. Good thing, huh?
I am so very annoyed right now.
