Why didn't someone tell me sooner?

In other news, I finally made it to my eye appointment. I have no change in my prescription, I am still very healthy and have nothing to worry about.

But I asked for a prescription for reading glasses. We'll see how it goes. They actually recommended what I've been doing - taking my glasses off to read. Bah. That puts the book right up against my nose.

I'll get new lenses as the ones I have are scratched to star filters and beyond.

And I've been blinking and squinting to headache stage.

Going to the mall for Lens Crafters. See ya!

Um some of us don't know that you're pancake crazy, like we are?

I went there after recovering from my recent bout with flu. Only time it's really safe for me to. I ate about half a stack of five. Believe me, when I'm on my game I can put away about a dozen of those puppies.

They are one of my guarantee eating places - I can *always* find something I can stand, even if it's only breakfast at 9:00PM.

I lurve their harvest grain and nut pancakes. Mmmm.

I just use Dr. Dean Edell specials from the drugstore for reading - of course, I have to take them off to do anything else - like walking - but they work fine, and are hecka cheaper than prescrition glasses. (I know, I said 'heck' - I work with middle school kids all day.)

No, I was so ready for this expense - and the reading glasses from the drugstore are largely magnifying glasses. Bah.
