Can we go to Yaoi-Con?

I can just imagine the conversation that question would spawn....

"Roo?"

"I wanna go to Yaoi Con. Everyone is going...nytshaed and tenshi_no_korin and llamajoy and sarahq and silverkun and likely ceolyn too...maybe (I hope) cadhla...and and --"

"Okay, okay...but don't you think we'll stick out? We're the most un-yaoi couple we know."

"Yeah, there is that...but all our friends are going."

He thinks about it and gets a serious look on his face.

"Sweetie, our friends like us, and we like them. And you'll be cute, blushing like that the entire weekend."

Still nothing. Just glowing pinkishly. Then...

"Hon, isn't that the con where Camber had to rescue Rey from the roomful of Asian-male-starved women?"

"Well...yeah. I don't think she'll be back this year, though."

*Looks worried.*

"Well, hon - you could, I guess." grins evilly as her Love turns beet-red and stammers

Looks at me strange.

Heh. Do you have a lot of Yaoi-loving friends? I just found out about the Yaoi phenomenon a few years ago from some 20-something year old girls who loved it. I can't figure out why it's so popular.

SF has an annual Yaoi-Con. Is that the one you mean?
