State of the Flu -

Sore throat, swollen nodes on throat.

Ta da.

By now, my boss was home sick - when he NEVER takes time off when he's got a bug - flat on his back. 102 plus temps. Worse.

And they said the sore throat was the "swallowed shards of shaved steel, heated" variety.

Mine wasn't anything a good slug of cold water couldn't handle.

Tamilflu is not cheap - even with insurance, it was $35 for a five day dose.

But hell, if this is the worst - this is manageable, even if I'm tired and cranky.

But not a whole lot is getting done around here while I sleep ever spare moment, either.

I swear that people get sick easier because of the US air quality. I got sick when I was in the US for a week (no surprise, the Katsuflu is well documented), but felt remarkably better once I got to Austria, even though I was exhausted for the next couple days and still had a cough/congestion. Walking on the streets of DC with what I had though...painful.
