Oh yeah.

I'm recycling some green Mardi-gras beads.

St. Patrick's Day in the US has as much to do with anything real as Santa Claus does in Japan. Sit back, enjoy the fun and have another green beer.

Danish, German and aledgedly, some orange Irish - and I want a shamrock shake before they go out of season. [livejournal.com profile] being_homeless says the best way is to get one and a chocolate shake and mix them together. Will have to try this.

Put some green food coloring in my scotch and I may have to hurt you.

Looking at my LJ, friends list and comments, I've come to the conclusion most of the postings are personal opinon; most of the commenting the same.

And some days, I am not the flavor of the week. Moving on.

It occurs to me that [livejournal.com profile] ceolyn and [livejournal.com profile] bigbigtruck don't travel in the same circles and likely have not met each other. You should - both of you are planning weddings, and I keep thunking myself in the head before commenting. No, that was in that journal, not this one -

So, talk to each other and make life easier for me. Do.

I have phone calls to make, code to fix and a plane to catch in T-6 days.

The Irish pub near the altcampus today had ads up for St. Patrick's Day. I never even thought about it, myself. No idea if there's anything at the George and Dragon or the English place, I somehow doubt it =P

I'm lucky, I wear my green every day. Green eyes are a wonderful thing sometimes.

My great-grandmother was from England, she came here on a ship in the early 1900's. She died when I was four years old, but I've heard lots about her from my family, as she was quite a character. To give you an idea, she was a saw operator at Douglas during WWII.

Anyway, she never wore green on St. Patrick's day. Actually, she wore orange. Lots of orange. That always amused me, I thought I'd share.

And beware, those shamrock shakes (rumor has it) will turn SOMETHING of yours green. Although I don't think you'll want to show anyone ;)
