In a sharp rebuke of President George W. Bush's tactics in the war on terrorism, the U.S. Supreme Court on Thursday struck down as illegal the military tribunal system set up to try Guantanamo prisoners. Of course, if the wanker writes himself his own rules after the fact AGAIN, this is good for what again? Right.
"We take the findings seriously," he said. "The American people need to know that this ruling, as I understand it, won't cause killers to be put out on the street." He says. *eyes roll to back of head* Wow. He actually thinks someone believes this crap.
Killers on the street, indeed. Good grief. You got the goods, or you don't. And there's been plenty of time to make that call.
In other news? If I'm not doing anything else, I'll be doing CES next January. Yanno, the big consumer electronics trade show in Vegas? Jim's never done one, and with all the home improvement projects I've got in mind - I discussed it with my electrician (who goes every year), and he's getting passes for us. It makes sense. Cedric wires a lot of recording studios and the like in town; he's a good person to talk to about this stuff.
Yes, I may have the home of the future on the inside when I'm done - but it'll be boss. You wait.
I'm also sleep-depped, fatigued and trying to figure out what has to be done today before I can call it in and go home. Not nearly at my best today, no sir.
