You know how they say you always crave chocolate when you're on your period?

Boss brought in chocolate this morning.

Chocolate-covered kimchee.

..

Hurrr...you go first, Indy!

EDIT: You thought I was kidding?

A. What kind of kimchi--the cabbage version you usually think of when you think kimchi, or some other vegetable?

B. Where do I get some?

A. Cabbage.
B. Not a clue. Running in fear.

Two great flavors that should be kept as far as physically possible from one another.

Ewwwww.

Let me know if it's any good; otherwise, I remain skeptical (and far, far away from any such thing).

The one piece I scammed is in the freezer waiting for [livejournal.com profile] silverkun when he comes down this weekend.

He can let you know. I'm treating it on the same level as limburger cheese.

Kimchee?

... what, as in the stuff my Korean-American friend said actually secretly meant 'wait, and pull my finger'?

And this was chocolate covered?

Um.... No! Much as I love chocolate, the answer is still a resounding No! That's a sin against chocolate. *shudder*

I'd try it. I love kimchee, not so big a fan of chocolate. But the contrast of the sweet with the kimchee... that could be very good or very bad.

Of course, I like peanut butter and pickle sandwiches, so what do I know? :)

It sounds so horrible, it just might be good.

I've had a slice of chocolate sausage pizza before... don't knock it till you try it.

Actually, since I prefer my sausage with maple syrup and I love chicken cooked in mole sauce, the chocolate sausage pizza doesn't sound half bad.

I think in this case it's the cabbage and vinegar that's getting to me. Yes, I'm sure of it. Ew.

Ack.

That notwithstanding, I've had amazing chocolate-coconut curry truffles. They weren't actually hot, and the coconut was the perfect bridge between the two flavours.

And mexican chocolate with red pepper in it is pretty good, too.

There's a recipe floating around out there for chocolate and black pepper shortbread cookies that are just the bomb, I'm told. That doesn't surprise me. Actually, strawberries dipped in black pepper are pretty good.

It's cabbage. Old nasty cabbage soaked in vinegar. *shivers*

Why the hell are they trying to polish a turd?*

* I like kimchee. I like Korean Food. But it's not in the same league as chocolate.
