Mom's decided not to go to Harlan - the costs are just too high.

Jim decided that driving to San Francisco in a Prius would be pretty cool - Budget rents them, and we've got a reservation for one for Memorial Day weekend. Now, for hotel accomodations.

We're coming - I may get a membership for me for Bay Con, one for Jim for Fanime. Stay tuned.

Heard from joseph_palmer - brunch on Sunday! (Now, to find a good one....)

And I've won a $250 American Express gift card. Which can't be spent like an ATM card. Which means, can't be used for the trip. Bah. Guess I just have to spoil myself another way.

I though Amex gift cards spent like a credit card. Anywhere that takes Amex, takes the GC.

True, you can't walk up to a ATM and ask for the value on the card in cash, but a friendly clerk my "overcharge" the card and give you the difference.

I wish. Did you know I10 runs right through Houston? The driving directions would be get on I10 and drive west for 24 hours. Yow :-O
