When Cats Attack.

I'd forgotten what people looked like when they fainted. It isn't pretty - matter of fact, it's pretty scary.

Jim's now sporting a goatee and looks pretty good for all of it, but he doesn't have scratches - he has gouges where the cats hit him.

Thought they'd only hit his face when we took off the shirt and found half a dozen more.

And the last thing he got was angry - poor him. Poor kitties for getting so freaked out over ronin.

I talked about this briefly with the family I hoped to give her too and the verdict was 'Oh we'd love another calico. But....." and the 'but' included a lot of time spent away and being chaotic this summer and their continuing struggles to deal with their silly dog.

If I get a more definitive positive, I'd love to gift her to them. It's good for her, it's good for them.

If not, I can't. And that breaks my heart.

Damn. My heart was in the right place. Sweet kittygirl. I hate that she's lonely. Is there another home for her?

I *so* wish this would work out. I just looked at her and got that soul-deep feeling that she is a sweet catkin and that my dear friend Sylvia would welcome her into her heart. I have pretty good cat instincts. Sylvia's petkins have always been much loved and the loss of Thebat (a mispronunciation of "the bat" , she was named that because she had such huge huge ears when a wee kitten) was just a heartbreak for all. They're tearing up their house, Alan will be in Vail, Jacob's away on a ship, and Richard is a 16 year old obsessed with snakes.

Me? I would take her in a heartbeat but I have 4 catz and am about to get a job and have an elderly and insecure blind/almost deaf dog. I've enough love for Puss but also enough on my plate.

But I can trust you, Jim, Cedric and The Universe to place Pusskin in a wonderful place.

And I was going to see you and Jim. That offer, cat or not, is always always open. You = much interesting and full of good heart. Hugging you would be Cool. Someday! Soon, I hope.

I guess cats are face blind, too. Once I was in tears because <lj user="lord_keeper" went to the barber for a shave and haircut - going from long hair, beard, and mustache to bare faced and flat top (I think he was about to start a security job). I didn't witness it, and he met up with me at the grocery. I was scared to tears and he had to have me look into his eyes and feel his face and his nose before I was convinced it was him. After that, I now witness all transformations.

Owie. Poor guy.

Stray. STRAY cat. Ronin.

Little bastard was killing all the sparrows in the birdhouse and spooked both our cats inside when he jumped up and latched on to the house.

I found a whole family dead this morning - somebody is getting trapped now, fer sure.
