Got an update (and three new pictures) from the agency today.
We find out who fosters children in Taiwan today - it would appear policemen's families do. At this in this case, that is. And according to the report, he plays with the kiddo and the kiddo mimics his behavior back - "very cute!" Please don't think we're creepy for wanting to keep you in the loop once we adopt him, Mr. Policeman Foster Dad. Please.
The piano I saw in the first set of pictures is back with this set, and again, kiddo is right there with the lid off the keys. Wonder how much banging he's allowed to do on it - it looks like a pretty standard upright piano, but hardly new. But this the second set of pictures taken with him near, or seated at it. A picture of my piano will definitely go in the book of shots I'm packing into his care package.
The latest medical is reassuring - in that it's in line with expectations. Follow up through age five, with bloodwork done monthly. Medication daily. Doing very well, which is all in line with what I would expect with this diagnosis...my only question, and it's not likely to be answered until we get into the offices here, is the etiology of the hypothyroidism itself. Getting my medical done last Thursday, Doctor said he would look up a pediatric who speaks Chinese for the first couple of visits. Oh, wait. He's going to talk to the pediatrician who treats his kids on my behalf to find this person.
I told you I love my doctor, yes? He's a whiz at finding resources, and if I haven't mentioned that, I should.
Boy, this kid is going to be used to having blood drawn - good or bad. It's done often.
Quiet night. Getting into routines, slowly but surely. Dinner at six, bath at seven, then books and bed at 8:00. This will be the time I have after he's asleep - if I'm not sleeping next to him.
Have to get this care package wrapped up. A month away from AX - wow. This year is just flying by.
