Plastic six pack rings. I hates them, yes I do. They're a menace and a hazard everywhere beyond their intended purpose, which is to keep six cans of anything *together* so you can carry them *together* at one time. Ta da.
Usually, I cut them into little pieces, with much glee I might add. But if I'd known, I'd likely have saved a few. Check out what you can do with them:

Aquarium of the Pacific, here in Long Beach uses these to decorate during the holidays. Pretty, and awareness-enhancing at the same time. Nifty!

Now, I'm not fond of crafts for crafting sake, they have to have a usable purpose at the end - but can you see these in a place where looking too closely isn't a need? Like, a cafeteria in a long-term assisted living facility, for example.
The original link, and another one with clearer instructions.
But if you really want ambitious, look no further:

Original link. Designer even took in account the nature of the 'degradeable' rings. Nice, eh?
But there were some additional fun things found at the same time -
(I really like this one.)
Who needs to give the toy companies the last of the $$$? Make your own!
Go nuts - enjoy - and see you tomorrow!
