If you look a the html code, each block is supposed to be a link to one of your friends.

However, they got the code screwed up so and forgot to put something between the "a href" and "/a" tags.

Actually, taking a closer look, it appears that they put a [td][/td] element inside each [a]...[/a] element. This isn't allowed, and Firefox quite properly doesn't treat them as links. The URLs and color attributes aren't quoted, either. It probably works for some subset of old, broken browsers.
