Want to know how I can get through my friends list every morning?

According to this test, I read more than 900 words a minute. (Thanks, [livejournal.com profile] hobbitblue.)

I also finished and was halfway through the sample selection when the timer went off. I might actually be faster than that.

[livejournal.com profile] unclejimbo calls me Data when I read. Yes, I really am that fast.

Willa Cather had a book on that reading list for the Literature of the Wild West course I took in college - "My Antonia." I wonder what my professor would make of Trigun; he also taught the same course, except the genre was SF. I didn't take that one. I'd read all the books on the reading list and thought I was in school to learn something new.

*chuckles* That was the year Reagan got elected to President. I sure hope the fellow got his retirement and a peaceful old age. He looked a lot like the old cowboys [livejournal.com profile] forestcats posted last week in her journal -

Coolness! I did the test and I read between 750 - 800 words per minute. Extremely efficient reading level. Speed Readers R Us:)

Heh, me too, I finished well before the timer went off and was looking for more.

Data kicks ass. ^_^

Hmmmm... the last time I measured my reading speed was eighteen years ago, in high school. Then I was reading 4800 wpm. I can read 2400 baud on a computer screen - back when computers where that slow.

I don't know how fast I'm reading now, but I can tell you I'm very thankful for libraries, because on a per-hour basis, reading costs me more than seeing a movie!

According to that site I'm between 750-800 wpm. I've read that you read about 20% slower on a computer screen than you do off of a page.

You're the first person I've ever met who reads faster than I do.

See, I really don't read as fast as you do.

You read between 350 - 400 words per minute. Well above average reading level. (The average rate is between 200 - 250 words per minute.)

And damn, you read *fast*! :)
