While I may have experience at hospice it was not fun. It was the longest time I had ever worked without sleep. Being she is in a care facility they should be able to give you some warning before the final time comes, except, as in my case there are always those circumstances where something else happens. In my case it was a massive stroke and I was there holding her all the way through it. After that it was a matter of hours before she passed. Have you made arrangements for burial or whatever? Once the doctor had certified she was deceased I had the funeral home there in 45 minutes. Best of luck Donna, I know it isn't easy.
