The pathology from Mom is back - and it's not over.

There's more. How much more, I don't know - and I don't know how they plan to treat it.

I don't think it's life-threatening, yet - still - but the most likely outcome is not really good in terms of quality of life. It'll take a huge hit.

They remove the bladder. That's the most recommended course of action.

But...she may live a whole lot longer that way.

I don't know. It just makes me sad. And worried.

We're in a great place to find good care - that's not an issue. Three of the top places in the country are right here.

Sad. Sad, very sad.

But I'm at work - so I can't really just cave and give in. So - GENKI DAMMIT - on I go.

How could you not be sad and worried about a serious illness affecting your mother? I hope that the prognosis is as positive as possible, and her quality of life doesn't suffer more than absolutely necessary for her good health (and preferably not at all).

I hope she manages to get away with the least life-altering treatments possible.

Would she have to wear a bag if her bladder was removed?

I've done that, when I was recovering from kidney surgery. I had one coming right out of my kidney. It's a damned nuisance, and one winds up dressing to hide it, but it is *liveable*.

Yeah. On we go. You are an inspiration.

I'm thinking of you. I envy those with good relations with their moms. Especially now.
