Date: 2004-09-07 01:07 pm (UTC)The sad part is that he had quit smoking and thought the chest tightness was just because he'd been working out more.
His last few albums will make you feel a lot better about losing him, though. In a good way, not like they suck. They're amazing. But "Life'll Kill Ya" clearly shows that he's good with going.
In an interview with him when he was first diagnosed, he said something like "I'd really hoped to see the next James Bond movie, though."
He got to see it, and complete two last albums, and die with his loved ones at his side.
