Ha, ha. Female.

unclejimbo is in charge of the New Years' party - since I did all the eviting and prep and so forth for Christmas Eve's shindig, he can handle the smaller, later, endeavor.

I'm going out to see my Mom for a week, beginning the second. I need to get mentally ready for this.

I was going to go out today, but both Mom and the weather put a kobosh on it. *sighs*

I'm going to go get a new watch battery in my watch and get my glasses adjusted before I go to work this morning. Last night, you couldn't get into the mall with a shoehorn. Never seen it like that, and no I don't need to deal with it just for a watch and a wire-tweak.

We think the boss is okay. We haven't talked to him yet, but we've got people on the phone he took with him and they said he was 'out.' I'll take it.

Work also upgraded my phone. I now have a closed-face phone (no more cat dialing the boss at 3:00AM anymore!) that can support AIM. Uh, no. Not on your life. Well, maybe - for work stuff, of course.

Yes, I carry two cell phones. One belongs to work, the other one to me.

And now, I go to earn my daily bread. Hope it doesn't get soaked today.

Hi, this is off-topic but I followed the links from your comment in kynn's journal (based largely on my amusement over your Stormtrooper loser icon), and I've decided anyone who appreciates IKEA meatballs and has Green Party and Python on their interests list is someone I ought to friend. :) Hope that's okay.

Welcome aboard - the more, the merrier!

Talked to another co-worker today, who assures me he's fine - and everyone in his world is fine too (he married into a Thai family decades ago, and everyone but his wife is still there) - so it's all good.

I'll be glad to see him when I get back from vacation - best boss I ever had.

You know, I'm off the 31st - all day. Pick your time - but the only place I get discounts is the store down in Manhattan Beach (but it's 50% off anything there, first two pair) - so, I think you just could come in early in the day and stay for the party (and I'm planning on having you overnight) - sound good?
