So! I was reading a bunch of fics on AO3 this week, and I stumbled across a couple REALLY good ones I wanted to share with the masses.
Lost & Found by mariana_oconnor. It’s mainly Winterhawk, but there’s some very pure Stony content (and Nat/Sam, if you’re into that). Anyway, in this fic, Clint left the circus after taking a million dollars in cash and is now on the run. He stumbles into the modern-day town of Timely and quickly pisses off bartender Bucky. But of course, Timely isn’t exactly the most normal of towns. Its entire population consists of werewolves! If you enjoy a little angst, a lot of confused Clint and baffled Bucky, and both boys being very stupid, this is definitely the fic for you. Amazing fic that I plan to read over and over and over!
Like a Comet Streaming On by Sineala. 616 Stony through and through. In this universe, the world’s militaries consist of not just humans but also the wolves each soldier is bonded to. Howard gave Tony his wolf Kepler as a child (for typical Howard reasons), but when Tony is captured in Afghanistan, Kepler is murdered in front of him, which destroys Tony completely. He manages to escape and become Iron-Man and a member of the Avengers. When he and the rest of the team find the frozen Captain America, they also find his wolfsister Liberty. Obviously, Tony has Issues, and this results in some lovely angst. If you were ever one of those kids who were obsessed with wolves, I cannot express how much you will love this fic. It’s just so good!
P.S. If you’re an MCU fan grieving over Endgame and with a desire to find out more about comic Stony, boy do I have the fic writer for you! Sineala is probably the definitive 616 Stony writer; every single fic is pure gold. My personal favorites have to be Never Too Late for Love, Your Name on Every Wall, and Sucker Punch. My only warning is that the angst is so beautiful, you might cry a little. Or a lot. But seriously, you will NOT regret reading these fics! #
