Until next Wednesday. Heh.

And I must say, that went well indeed. A whole room full of people found out just what a "okay, who wants to do this" type of bitch I am.

Well? Whole room full of strange people. Got work to do. You're here. What part did you want?

Poor folks.

I gave them brownies....

A couple of links from the news today:

No, I don't like handguns. I particularly don't like mixing CATS and handguns....

DUDE - hear this? It's the tiniest widdle violin in the world playing 'my heart pumps purple piss for you' -

Falling down now. Tomorrow is shoe night in Norwalk. Anyone else need shoes?

*FWUMP*

As we say back in Dixie, that boy needs a Sign. (you know, the one that says "I'M STUPID."

Responsible gun owners don't leave their weaponry where people who are not responsible can get at them. This includes, obviously, four-leggers.

Although I gotta wonder about that story. Modern pistols are supposed to have devices whereby they can't go off unless you really mean it. Either the weapon was unsafe as well as its owner, or somebody's not telling the truth. da Kitty and I think he did something even more stupid than letting the cat at it, and was too embarassed to tell the cops the truth.

There are probably quite a few Americans who keep a handgun, or a hot car, or whatever, as a balm for their bruised egos.

Me, I drive a beat-up, outdated Japanese econobox that runs on three to three and a half of its four cylinders. The weaponry I keep is simply a defense against those whose egos are large enough to think they can take life, liberty, or property from me without my having done something to deserve it.

I don't deny that many "small men" have ego extenders of various sorts. I do deny that they *should* have such things. As we've seen, they tend to use them.... irresponsibly. Of course, deciding who should and who should not is a hugely complex issue... for another time.

Things got hectic at work today right before my shift was over and when I got home I crashed. Completely forgot about the party. Sorry for not calling to let you know I wouldn't be there. I suck.

[livejournal.com profile] n6vfp is going to need people on his team - and you could still be a team leader yourself if you wish.

You missed some really great brownies and tech-foo. Make the next one!

I missed tech-foo? What kind of tech-foo?

What's involved in being a team leader?
