Switching insurance carriers for life insurance (cheaper, more coverage) - and of course, we're both over forty, so we both have to provide health information in the form of an exam.

We were visited by a very nice vampire last night. Who also took measurements.

165 lbs. BP? 116/70. I was playing around with the Sims when he showed up. The weight loss is bupkis - but the BP?

Gaming reduces BP. Whaddaya know.

Oh, and body? The moment I decide to get more exercise is not your cue to get sick. Mean it. No love.

..

They discharged Mom from the hospital yesterday, after her last course of Vancomycin, neph tube still in place. No bathing for two weeks, and she's going to need VNA support until she sees her doctor again to resolve that thing. At least, I hope there's a plan to resolve that thing.

*rolls eyes* And Sis is now going to Texas. I think she said Austin - but I'm almost certain it's Dallas, then to Houston...her BIL has family there. She'll be gone for a week -

So help me, if shit comes down while she's gone, someone gets to explain to me why a little old lady with one kidney has to be discharged with neph drains still in place and no follow-up appointments made. Probably in court. No, I'm not pleased with this, but nobody is asking me - as I've been saying.

I'll call her at home today - still can't visit, still sick.

But I sure as hell can go to work, can't I? *grins* Yesterday was my five-year anniversary - I brought lots of breakfast goodies, and thanked everyone I worked with.

First time. And no sign of stopping now!

{{HUGS}} Feel better! Don't stress out or you'll negate the gaming effects.

And yes, I fully appreciate the value of gaming on mental health. That's one reason [livejournal.com profile] lord_keeper does what he can to keep paying for City of Heroes for us.

one thing that I've learned...

that whenever they take my BP it's always out of whack when the nurse does it before they stick me in the exam room, but when the doctor takes it, I'm fine.

go figure.

A lot of people have stress that makes their blood pressure go up just because they are in a clinic. BP taken at your house while you are relaxed from playing games is much more accurate than BP taken in a clinic environment full of people and things that stress you out. Awesome BP, by the way.
