silverkun, that icon belongs to you. It belongs to a number of other people, but I always have to check the username twice because - well - that icon belongs to you.

I'm very concerned about being_homeless this morning. If I don't hear from her in some way by the end of business today, I begin calling hospitals, HIPAA be damned.

If I could only go to Boston for a few days - a week would be wonderful. Nah. I had to pay taxes this year. BUGGER.

My project29 package has arrived, and I've had ZERO time to open it.

I need a vacation. Like nobody's business...sing along with me.

I know what hospital she was at last time, but I don't know where she is now or whether she'd have gone back to the same one as before. :( I'm glad she's gone to the hospital though -- her last lj post didn't sound good.

As that one is, AFAIK, closest to her house and the same one she'd gone to, it seems most likely she'd be there. We could call and ask to talk to her - it's a local call for us.

Are you close enough to act as extra eyes and hands? I am extremely restricted in what I can do, just because I'm Not There.

There's a lot I can do with a phone - but not everything. And while I have a good idea where she is - what concerns me is the absolute lack of anyone 'taking the reins' and seeing that something is actually done on her status, to the point of making it safe for her to actually go home.

She's a complex case, but I've done complex and all it requires is a bit of work to get things balanced. Don't do that work, and it all falls apart in a spectacular FUBAR.

Eleven years. That's how long it's been since I had my last vacation. Summer between my Jr. and Sr. year of high school. I joined the work force full time two weeks after I graduated from high school. The last time I had two days off from work that didn't bracket a weekend was when I had surgery. And really four days doped up on painkillers really isn't my idea of a good time. Disneyland last year was fun, but it was a lot of work and very little relaxation.

It's not a vacation if:

* I have to plan it.
* Pay for it.
* Schedule it (and keep people on schedule).
* Justify it.

I want to go to Sedona and dissapear for a weekend. Someplace with hot water up to my nose and all the meals someone else can make for me.

Let's see... in the last week, I have:

Gotten fired from one job. (Wednesday)
Re-upped my file with a temp agency (clerical, but what the hell)-Thursday
Gone for an interview.-Friday
Worked all weekend (7-3:30 in Monrovia at a place I've worked before - 1996)
Am currently at a 2 day assignment in Beverly Hills
Have another assignment (8-10 weeks) starting tomorrow...

Can I have a vacation too?

I can barely find time to sleep.

Heck, at least tomorrow's assignment will likely be Metrolink/Red Line-able, from the looks of things.

Do me a favor and check with your airline on passing customs in and out in LA - with that much time, I can remove you from the airport for your meal. No, really.

I need airline information (are you coming into the Bradley terminal or terminal 3, they should know) and so forth.

I figured I would go through customs and check into my next flight (i have to do this myself, cause i change airlines [grumbles]) And could then call you... This will likely take me two hours or so... And yes, I pick up my tickets tonight (or tomorrow night if I have time) so I will get you specific flight info when I get it!!!
