The sparrows are making more sparrows.

It's Beltaine? I just finished CERT training, putting out fires and stuff today. Somehow, the combination amuses me more than it should, I think.

BevMo opened a new store in our neighborhood, just down the street and next to the Curry House restaurant we love. Dinner Friday? Followed by a visit - which has to go down in the books as one of the strangest visits a couple of adults have made to a liquor store. We left with chocolate and Orange Crush as the largest parts of our order. That, and some peculiar items the boss has introduced me to that need to be introduced to other people.

Peach Lambic being one of them. It's an ale, ostensibly, but intensely fresh peach flavored. Nummers.

I also got a bottle of the cherry version. That's for later.

It was a total hoot.

Reading the last issue of NewType wasn't a whole lot of fun. Fullmetal Alchemist is becoming the new InuYasha - and InuYasha is the dead horse being beaten for a few more horsehair shirts. It's just sad.

Jim'll be home after 10:30. I think I'll be wanting a cuddle about then.

Newtype has really become a waste of money on both sides of the ocean. In the US, it's the A-List promo mag (plus ADV's B- and C-lists), and in Japan it's nothing but Gundam Seed Destiny. If I could read Japanese or afford the rights to translate, I'd bring over Animage instead.

*nods* I've always been partial to Dragon, myself.

Of course, all of this is better than what it was, say, 20 years ago. Which was nothing.

Hmmm, I've been avoiding InuYasha because of its overpopularity, and my fear it'd get redundant. What you say will probably keep me away.

Is Curry House really good and have some veg friendly stuff? We only have Hurry Curry, which is so-so in the Japanese curry department.

I enjoy the raspberry lambic by the same people. So, so good.
