Date: 2005-06-24 07:25 pm (UTC)I do listen to Air America, but only to Randi Rhodes and Mike Malloy... and occasionally Al Franken.
NPR still gives more balance to coverage than, say, the news stations (CNN, FOX, MSNBC) or the national networks.
And at least NPR COVERS the fact that soldiers are DYING in Iraq.
There may be some bias, but NPR *DOES* Tread Carefully.
IMO anyway.
At least NPR didn't do the "All Michael Jackson All The Time" thing that the other media outlets did.
As for intruding... that's fine. I know I'm not the only opinionated one out there. *g*

I agree, with you.
Date: 2005-06-24 08:02 pm (UTC)Speaking of public radio, I know they don't do much as far as news is concerned, but I do give money to KKJZ too (because Chuck Niles was awesome, and they do have great programs available across the nation). There's KUSC, but I don't give to them, because it's sort of like the top 40 of classical. I love that this town has quite a few NPR stations to choose from (that wasn't the case where I came from), and even if mamacita doesn't, I'll still support public radio, because it's much better than Clear Channel and Faux News.
