It appears that nature really does hate a vacuum.

Jim has the entire weekend off - all three days. I didn't know that. Well, up until a moment ago. I had to check -

Because it appears there is a serious lack of 4th of July BBQ going on around here. Well, I can fix THAT.

You want to come over? We'll have food, anime, cats and one gen-U-wine birthday girl! (Well, a bit early, but who cares?)

[Poll #522155]

I'm thinking come around 10:30 AM on Monday, the 4th - stay as long as you want. Kind of like Christmas Eve parties.

Food? Bring what you want to grill. I'll provide the means, something to drink and sides.

EDIT: Oh, and dog. Don't forget the dog....

Hrm...

Should I try to find some doggie treats at Trader Joe's for the hyperactive one? *g* (and no, I'm not talking about Jim! *snicker*)

You can try, but I've never had much luck getting her to accept bisquits. Begging Wraps, yes - milk bones? No. She sniffs them and then looks at you funny. And keeps begging.

I wasn't exactly referring to biscuits.

I think Trader Joe's has other doggie treats too... *shrug* I'll look.

As for the other... want me to see if I can't whip up a little curried beef for you and anyone else who might be interested?

Do you need anything else other than to bring individual grillable stuff?

*curried beef*

*slobbers* Ahem. Guess I'll have to get the rice cooker out! Oh the pain, the suffering...*laughs*

Let me give this 24 hours thought - and check the pantry and get back to you.

Without a doubt, Spice's favorite treat is going to be whatever you're eating at that moment. Really really.

*grins* Or I can just make enough for you alone... and you can get the rice cooker out *later*....

As for giving it 24 hours... ok.

*thinks about stopping at the Smart and Final for stuff either near her house... or near work (two separate places)*

Coming, as it did, immediately below your "sewing foo" post on my friends list, I naturally started out expecting a disaster with your vacuum cleaner [grin].

Not coming, unfortunately; have a good one.

Well Chiriket is more of an evening, after-con affair; we typically spend the morning and afternoon cleaning crap up and closing the room. This year, if they're open on the fourth, a Shinsengumi feast IS planned for dinner after a bout of karaoke, if possible... :D

You know that's walking distance from my house, right?

*weighs BBQ grill vs. Shinsengumi*

Tell you what. I'll call them today, see what we can cook up - and how many people we can cram into there. (And how many designated drivers we can scrounge up.)

And then, if you're not anime'd out - I have some lovely crack I'm almost certain you haven't seen yet.
