Heh, my sis and I have been using that technique for over 10 years.

And wow, I wonder if that girl does get people to buy the PDF. it's so ridiculously easy to make them. Form fitting Sleeved T-shirt, a couple of rolls, some scissors, and a few hours to kill and you're good to go!

It has stopped surprising me how often people will pay for instructions on things that I have figured out how to do myself. Or how often people will pay for a fancy single-use tool when an inexpensive multi-use tool will do the same job. Or how often people seem incapable of looking at something simple and being able to replicate it without a pattern.

I think there are just a lot of people out there who, either by lack of confidence, education, or both, just can't do stuff unless someone shows them EXACTLY how to do it. They also often seem to lack the desire to just try something and give it a go. Fear seems to limit a lot of people.

The free crafting tutorials I made for my website are designed to give people the basics so then they can be set free from patterns and instructions and do their own thing. But you know what? I regularly get asked for more patterns. Go figure.

And people seem to think I'm some kind of genius for being able to stick a rod in a hole.

It's just the way folks are, I guess. *shrug*

Other than the fact that the adhesive eventually melted and the form developed a case of radioactive meltiness, I think I prefer my old duct tape dressform over the adjustable one I have now.
