Don't feel bad. I wish I had the capacity to even talk in a civil manner about politics... but my dislike for the Republican party has grown into such a seething hatred, that the only discussion I can do when it comes to politics is a torrent of curses. I'm so upset at how upset the Republican party has made me.

Anyway... I'm sorry you've been pushed into the crazy place with me... but I know you'll get back out again. I on the other hand am now a resident (complete with tire-swing!)

You and my mother.

My mother has ended friendships of many years recently because the friends were Republican. They are no longer on speaking terms.

I'm not to that point yet. I'm just to the "will not suffer Republican fools at all" point, but I'll still *speak* to them.

I'm actually no longer on speaking terms with a long time (25 years) friend of mine who is a Republican. He is as disgusted at liberals as I am at Republicans and have both frothed and seethed so hard about this that we've accidentally insulted each other. I hope our friendship will somehow survive this.

The great divide indeed.
