A bit tapped out -
Aug. 5th, 2005 06:49 amDid not get on LJ all day yesterday. For me, that means I have over 500 posts to go through before I'm current.
I try to get in at least three times a day - about 120/240 posts each session. Well, yes. I do read everything. Surprised?
However, Sims2 swallowed all of my free time, and a lot of my sleep - what a freaking sucker. My only consolation is that Jim has spent the same kind of time on Yuna's Magical Hot Pants Adventures - but this only reinforces my aversion to video games. You think you'll be different - heh. First hit's free. After that, it's a 12-step program to wean yourself away from it.
And work has gotten busy again - which is good, I hate staring at the wall and web surfing to keep occupied. But the Dumb Factor has been in play, which is why I've been busy, let alone the wandering Strange that has been cropping up.
Also - a bit tapped out. I'm tired, I have bills, and deadlines to meet - and Jim started a new work schedule this week that while it's a good change, it is a change and instead of coming into the day in progress, he sort of begins the day in his department, coming in at 7:00 AM. I've told him the subtitle for this shift is Anchor Man, and he just laughed. Then groaned. Lunch hasn't been eaten one day this week before 1:30 PM. And yes, later than that too.
Me? So busy I've eaten my box of Luna bars from the earthquake kit. That's instead of breakfast and lunch. One each (and not even that some days this week) - and I need to replace the box.
And my niece is sending me emails because she can't call me long distance - with money woes. I may end up in Hemet again this weekend.
Shower, rinse, repeat. If I've missed anything...point me in its direction.
