Wa in my world today -
Aug. 25th, 2005 03:06 pmThere is something to be said for being home, playing a bit on the Mac before packing it up to take to work (to get configured to work from home), and Jim comes home sick in the middle of the lunch hour, and we cross paths.
If we weren't here, that wouldn't be possible. Not even a pipedream.
If we had waited six months to try and move, we would have been priced out of the market.
But we didn't, we bought the house, suffered through an incredible process to move - and have gotten nothing but good things for it.
Being able to tuck the boy in before going back to work was priceless.
No, he's not icky-sick, just recovering from a migraine (and Imitrex) at 4:00 AM.
He was sleeping peacefully, surrounded by fat, happy cats when I left.
And the boss did some incredible things to the Mini for me - and pointed me at some more Good Stuff for when I get home. Yowza.
Hey, G/T/W, thanks? It's been one heck of a mop and bucket week, but everything is working right now - thanks for everything.

Date: 2005-08-26 06:03 am (UTC)I hope it's all right to bring an extra couple of witnesses to our Trial of the Century Friday at Shinsengumi; I'm sure you've already read Val's Random Roadtrip Announcement.
Also... I might be able to talk her into the Chinese Food Festival as well... hohohoho.

Any chance I can get you over to the house to see my piano before you go?

Date: 2005-08-26 05:16 pm (UTC)For all my gripping about our 2 bedroom condo being small, at least we weren't in a one bedroom one when we had Alan and we didn't have to move. Thank goodness for Mark's decision to get a 2 bedroom way back in 1992-93 before he even knew me!
