Got a rejection note in the mail from a company I'd never heard of, about financing the "home improvement project" - my credit sucks, I have derogatory entries on my credit report, yadda ya. *laughs*

Boy, they should have seen it in 1998 right after Cliff died. They don't know derogatory from unpleasant.

But.

Fuck them. Fuck them, and their little dog too. With a penguin.

I'll go another route on this. In the meantime, I'll see if I can find someone at the Gas Company to discuss the matter with. The joys of home ownership.

In other news, I'm still enjoying the heck out of Sims2, even though none of the expansion packs are available on the Mac platform. (That also means downloading anything like lots or objects gets pretty difficult, because everyone making stuff, is making it with the new packs installed. Doesn't matter if you actually use any of the new stuff or not, it all has the stamp of "expansion pack" in the code, so you can't use it on the Mac. Bleh.)

Nobody's forgotten that October is the biggest month of the year for suicides, right? February is second. Nobody? Good.

Teh suck, she spreads like rancid goose grease.

February has got to be one of the most dreariest month's ever.

At least in Wisconsin.

Now that I'm in Washington now.....and adapting well to the weather.

The fog, the no bright glaring sunlight in the mornings....the soft rain every now and then, no snow, no bitter cold, not humid high heat.....

I'm happy.

I am surprisingly self-sufficient (it's that middle-kid thing) - but I have plenty of support, all I have to do is remember to fall back on it.

A lot of people on my FL have me nervous - but looking at the circumstances and time of year, it's understandable.

This goes back a long way to when a friend had a cousin come visit from France, and one of the little slang things we learned from her was that if you want to tell someone "up yours" - you could. But if you really wanted to put the fillup on it, you said "up yours - with a penguin!"

Why? *shrug* You just did.

So every time someone spouts something stupid and inane, I remember the penguin reference. Just tack it on.
