kyburgTook the weekend off. Will plow through the FL as time permits today - promise.
Last night was bright, wet and LOUD. Biggest thunderstorm to date - lightning was going off *above* the house. You know it's love when you have the dog under the covers with you because that's the only place she's not going batshit nuts because of the thunder and lightning. Wuss.
But I will admit, didn't sleep until nearly one. LOUD. Glad I'd turned everything off for the night.
This morning, Starbucks for breakfast. Last night was some pretty good ghetto pork bowls, if I do say so myself. Will have to check and see if I have some spam for musubi this week - if not, Marukai always has it on sale.
Finally hit the honey spot with the rice cooker. 3 cups of rice, for 5.5 cups of cooked - rice cookers can do a lot, but if you have too much or too little water, the results are less than optimal. The good news is with this much cooked, there's always some leftover for onigiri or musubi the next day -
Everyone a bit on edge this morning - that was a real gully-washer, with extra boom last night.
