Getting my licks in early -

Halloween is on a Monday this year, which bites.

However.

Christmas Eve is on a Saturday. Which means the house can be open ALL DAY LONG.

I'll put my bid in early. If you can get here, you can come to Mah House for Christmas Eve. I turn no one away. It's a tradition that began with Cliff, and it's a good one. I've opened the house at 10:30 AM and not closed it until after midnight, and loved every minute of it.

We eat. We watch television. We game - and we talk. A lot.

I'm putting my bid in early. Come on over. We'll have fun. Promise.

We've had to pass on that plan - too expensive for too little time. (We'd actually have only two days of vacation each available - and the airfares were over $1500, including the car and hotel. Pass.)

Wish we could head down for this! I don't know what we're supposed to do over Christmas yet this year (as in, whose house the family will celebrate at), and if we are home, I may well do something similar here. I hope I'll be able to do our Big Feast again this year; that was great fun. Last year we roasted a goose and baked a nice big salmon.
