Can I do this in 15 min? Well, I'll give it a try. If I don't do it now, it won't happen. Good enough reason.

Work had tickets to last night's Dodger game. They also had passes to the Stadium Club, and preferred parking. Package of four.

Well, since someone else wanted tickets, and I can only use two anyway - I got two, and the Stadium Club.

This was HOT.

It meant leaving work at 3:30 to go meet Jim at the train station at 4:30, driving like mad to get to Dodger Stadium by 7:00 (yes, it can take that long) - but worth the trouble. We had fun.

It began with us walking in with the first batch of folks at 5:40 - parking WHERE we wanted, even if it was the middle of nowhere - and getting free bucket hats for applying for credit cards (like either of us would qualify right now, sheesh) - but hey, they're cute, they're khaki, they're complimentary!

Free souveniers...so far, so good.

Then, the stadium club. Now, I had thought dinner was included, but the passes were only for admittance - but dinner! WOW. Best buffet in memory, and we sat at the window and watched the sun set, and the players warm up (mmmMMMmmm...beefy) - and then, something caught Jim's eye.

Ron Cey. Signing autographs. Steve Garvey was across the room.

Right. Jim picks up both bucket hats and gets them autographed. He has no fear. w00t!

We were told Tommy Lasorda was going to be there, but we didn't see him. Drat.

Finish dinner, use the remainder of my open credit paying for it (oh, well) and went to our seats. Good seats. And enjoyed the heck out ourselves. Jim has everything in the stadium pegged - the newbie here has to be told where to look for stuff. How fast the pitch was, where the retired jersey numbers were, when the stadium was built, etc.

And then he says - "I think I can see our car from here."

Which leads nicely in to what you yell at the batter - "Shawn! HIT MAH CAR!"

The Dodgers won, 3-2. They were playing the Rockies, and I think they're pretty cool, considering.

We got home after 11:00 PM, though - that makes for a very early morning. *yawn*

Okay - time to go home.
