No.

No, no, no and no.

No again.

And no.

NO.

Oh, you want a bond measure for schools. Sure.

Happy birthday to [livejournal.com profile] hiironomiko! Hope it was a happy, silly one!

Today in TX there were 9 propositions up.

Most actually got yes from me, one got abstained because I really know NOTHING about what's going on with state relinquishing rights in some counties hours away, or why they are doing so and to whom.. so I abstained.

The fund for improving railways in TX got a 'fuck yes!', and there was something on mortgages for the elderly that mom explained the legalese for me over and it sounded like it was good. Also some general things about increasing the number of court reps, and no bail if someone is deemed a risk to their victim or society that sounded decent.

Prop 2? Not on your life. And there was another fun one about commercial loans not having interest rates capped anymore. The thought of my banks being able to shaft me for my small business loans like my credit card companies do made me go cold.

Also, it's amazing how many precincts they've divided this county into considering the low population.

Oh, I do. Parental notification laws aren't there to protect kids from making bad decisions - they don't protect them from bad parents!

And the language they used to write that proposition could be used to kill stem cell research and restrict reproductive choices, outside of terminating a pregnancy.

NO. Oh hell NO.

I'm not in California - it's hard finding a comprehensive list of the Governator's ideas that isn't drowned in legalese.

Your pattern is pretty much how I voted. Arnie and the damn remoras who hung off of that pack of bullshit he fronted can all go to the special hell.

This public employee thanks you...

Thank you for NO votes, ArNOld needs to be stopped. We don't need protection from unions, we need more unions. ArNOld doesn't like us because we expose his lies.

Arnold doesn't want the bond measure for schools. =) His idea of improving education is making it easier to fire teachers. ^^

No, I'm afraid that one was slipped on by your local do-gooders.

The last two state props weren't by Arnie.

You can't always tell for sure who is backing the propositions. There are any number of ways to set up a front to sponsor the propositions. ArNOld certainly advocated for all of the propositions.

I used to work at the state capital--you have no idea of all the shenanigans that go on! Some good, some bad. But really, unless you know the players, you can't always be sure of who is actually sponsoring what. A better clue is to check who is supporting the propositions.

ALL the propositions had arNOld's OK, if not actual money behind them.

P.S. We won, for once!
