Got a voicemail from Mom while I was out doing last minute shopping - she's on her way into the emergency room to get this procedure done, as they couldn't get it scheduled outpatient within a reasonable amount of time.

NEVER using an HMO. SHEESH.

Mom sounded okay on the message, will call her if I can from the airport - and you can bet I'll be checking in while I'm out.

And she said GO. I'm GOING.

(I got told to do the same thing for my own benefit when Cliff was living with his mother in 1996 - went to the one and only trip to Disneyworld in Florida. He ended up in the ER back then, too. *shakes head*)

Got my shower, got my haircut - packed, ready - even left a note on the refrigerator. OH, gotta drop a note to silverkun.

Then. I be out of here. This is it.

ack... The worst moment of my life, in balance, was probably when they came to class one day and pulled me out, saying "Your mother's in the hospital..."
