Monday - hit the ground running....
Nov. 21st, 2005 07:12 amWe didn't get to get a piece of
silverkun last night - and I do mean that literally. It might have been a quick five minutes at best - and it would have been pulled out of the time he had between eating his last meal with buds at Gencon and getting on his plane.
Nah. It can wait.
cadhla, you are too damn easy to shop for. Watch for package this week. Wish I could have called you. They were having a huge sale.
Impressions on returning home -
Jim cursing as he continues to hit the wrong lever when making a turn. Over there, it was on the right. Over here, it's on the left. Guess what he's been doing. (Hey, the windshield is clean.)
Being incredibly grateful for getting drowsy after it got dark last night.
Dreaming in the scenery of the books I read.
And being left with the impression that it wasn't all that far, that different or that hard to adjust to.
Three days and it's Thanksgiving. Baked the sweet potatoes and made the cranberry sauce last night - tonight, I'll bake some pumpkin bread. Somewhere in this week, I have to get over to Sis' and get the turkey. I may send Jim over there tonight -
Mom sounds SO much better. And I'd have to give her feisty right now - she's decided she's coming for Thanksgiving and that's that. (Also, the labs are much improved - no surprise there, but I can only hope they continue to move towards that June benchmark. She's trying to do a diet as if she were on dialysis, which I think is premature - but without any better direction, what would you do?)
Flying Qantas? It's a piece of Australia with wings. If you get the chance to fly with them, do. This year, they're celebrating 85 years - and they couldn't be prouder.
I get Alex for this weekend. w00t - 11 years old and ready to take over the world.
As soon as pictures are available - I'll share. Promise.
Getting ready to go back to work - see ya!
