kyburgYou fail to address the reasons a woman seeks to end a pregnancy, you fail to address the issue of abortion. Period.
You fail to see a way clear for a woman to complete a pregnancy, safe and well-cared for - you fail to address the issue of abortion. Period.
You fail to see a way to provide legitimate tools for a woman and her partners to prevent an unplanned pregnancy, you fail to address the issue of abortion. Period.
Roe v. Wade is not a blank check to terminate any inconvenient pregnancy, or a free ride for those who would. Roe v. Wade is privacy law. Period.
And in this culture, I'd be more concerned about the privacy issues than the "welfare mom" issues - or the innocence of babes issues.
Do yourself a favor today.
Find a "St. Anne's House" that will take a pregnant woman under the age of 21.
Find a source to safely terminate a pregnancy that you'd trust not to kill you. Oh, and find funding too.
I've tried to do that today, and failed. That's what public opinion has done - and I consider that a very legitimate outcome, considering the vehemence of the arguments put forth.
Anything more is side-stepping the realities entirely.
