Busy, much?

(Apologies to dial-up users.)
You think that's full? Swing around to the left - you can't see half the town. I even have two lots up on the bluff. (Really cool ones, too. I have a lighthouse up there....)
And a whole buncha Sims away at college. I am nuts.
Welcome to Friday -

Date: 2006-05-12 05:12 pm (UTC)Keep your aspirations and status bar screens open all the time, and work them heavily.
Keep interactions positive as much as you can - (You want to WHAT - noooo, you don't get to tease her...no, quit that. XXX Here, go tell her a joke instead.)
I also don't use any hacks that override gameplay. I allow money cheats and judicious use of the Tombstone of L & D - that, and custom downloads for appearances sake (skin tones, clothes, makeup, hairstyles, etc.)
And this is over a year and a half, I think now - I've only had *counts on fingers* seven Sims die on me. I really need to allow more of that....

Date: 2006-05-17 05:29 pm (UTC)I love the Sims, though. I'm trying to learn how to recolor things now. But it looks like it's more trouble than it's worth, when you can just download so much cool stuff.
Mine tend to have really twisted relationships. In my current Legacy household, Generation 1 man had one child with a mistress. Generation 2 heir had I think 17 children... 10 with his wife (she was a family sim), and the rest were with TWO mistresses, one of whom had been his father's mistress. So he was banging the mother of his half-brother.
One of the Generation 2 non-heirs, a vampire, moved into his own home and married a girlfriend from college. Then he died, because he got home from work, wandered out into the sun and then wouldn't go inside. "Kee-yaaaah! Kee-yaaaah! Kee-yaaaaah!" So now his widow is sleeping with the husband of one of his nieces. Either the ghost hasn't clued in yet, or he just has trouble floating up the porch steps into the house - not sure which.

Date: 2006-05-12 04:55 pm (UTC)I've got a neighborhood that's not quite so full up- and a second one I just started up that I may or may not transfer sims to. (I just got SimCity 4 cheap recently, and made my own maps... must play with those now!)
I am having a nasty flu epidemic in my old neighborhood.. it's driving me nuts..

Date: 2006-05-12 04:58 pm (UTC)And the terrain is so wonderfully unrumply. Is Pleasantview just naturally flat? Because I started my own and it's got hideous trenches and things and gah. Landscaping is a pain in the butt.
